Incase your wondering, this is a class blog relating to the struggles between males and female in modern day society. Males are viewed ad the dominating gender who has control of his surrounduings, and apparently has an easier time coasting through society without any issues. While women always have to work harder then men to achieve their goals even though they have the more "superior intelect." Well I happen to disagree. believe it or not but women have easier access to prodominatly male occupations. A great example is the construction trades. Although the majarity of union workers are male, women are preffered. Because Women are so scarse, union preffer to hire female trade workers rather than male because it allows them to level out the feild.

    Response to quote #3:
    What Bordo means to say is that me are mostly photographed doing somethingthat does not pertain to modeling. In ads, men apear to be in motion. If they do not they are labeled as feminin. Same goes for women that appear to be doing an action in a picture. They are said to appear unfeminine. In the ad that I have chosen to analyze, Bordo's statement appears to be true. The male is walking out of the water appearing to be some sort of hero or secret agent who just escaped near death by jumping of a cliff, and seems as if he feels untouchable. This automatically shows confidence which I believe is the key to masculinity.

    Super interpretation and illutration of the quote using your ad. Your point about the model appearing as a 'secret agent' is quite apt; he does look like James Bond, but the new Daniel Craig James Bond who is much more muscular than smooth and clever.

    Thats exactly what I was thinking about Ms. B. But I'm not sure if I should use that for the writing assignment. Adding the whole James Bond aspect into my outline might mean i need to change everything around.
